When Cards Against Humanity broke out onto the scene in 2011, it took the world by storm. With simple gameplay, taboo topics, good laughs, and terrible Black Friday deals, there’s no question why so many love Cards Against Humanity. It also has inspired lots of other hilarious party games.
If you’re looking for something to supplement your party game night, check out these hilarious party games besides Cards Against Humanity
Joking Hazard
From the creators of Cyanide and Happiness, Joking Hazard allows players to make their own delightfully distasteful comic strip. The judge will flip over a card and players will either set up the joke with their own cards or put in the punchline. It’s virtually impossible to play this game without laughing or thinking, “I’m going to hell” at least once.
What Do You Meme?
Memes have grown in popularity over the last decade along with party games, so it’s only natural that a party game about memes has become so popular. The gameplay for What Do You Meme? is quite similar to that of Cards Against Humanity. Instead of the judge choosing a phrase, though, they will flip up a picture of a common meme with no caption. Players then will choose cards that think offer the best and most hilarious caption. If you’re a fan of meme culture, you will love this game. Plus, it comes with a cute little easel for the pictures!
Monikers
Charades is such an old school party game, but everyone who loves hilarious party games will enjoy Monikers. Players will choose several cards to make up the deck for the game. Then, teams will compete over three rounds.
In the first round, players can say whatever they want to get their teammates to guess the word on the card. In the second round, they can only give one-word clues, so you’ll need a good memory! Players will silently act out their clues in the last round, but this isn’t grandma’s charades. Have fun acting out words like, “Leeroy Jenkins” and “The guy who threw a shoe at George W. Bush.”
The Metagame
You really get a bang for your buck with The Metagame as this box actually contains seven games in one. Some versions of the game are similar to standard party games where players choose a card in hopes that the judge will select it. Other versions, however, require fewer players, such as the Meta Quilt, where players combine cards in hilarious ways.
Telestrations
If Pictionary and the telephone game had a baby, it would be Telestrations. Each player will receive their own whiteboard booklet where they’ll start by writing down a word. Then, everyone will pass their booklet to the next player who will then draw a picture for that word. It continues on to the next player who has to guess the word based on the drawing. The round ends when the original owner gets their booklet back and has a good laugh over how muddled the message became. For a more Cards Against Humanity version of this game, you can check out Telestrations After Dark, too.

Hashtag It
Much like What Do You Meme?, Hashtag it felt inevitable, really. A judge will draw an image card while players will play a hashtag card for that image. The player the judge chooses for that round will receive the image card. The first player to win seven image cards wins and is considered #blessed.
Funemployed
What qualifies you to be a drag queen? Apply for all sorts of crazy jobs with your unique qualifications in Funemployed. Switch out your cards to “build your resume,” then use that resume to interview for the position. If the employer chooses you, then you got the job! The player with the most jobs after two rounds wins. Read the full rules here.
